AI Research Engineering Workshop: Open Biomedical Multimodal AI Research. Led by the AI Research Engineering (AIRE) team from the Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI), this hands-on workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills and tools needed to tackle key challenges in multimodal AI for biomedical research through four case studies:

  • Brain disorder diagnosis
  • Cardiovascular disease assessment
  • Cancer classification
  • Drug–target prediction

Participants will engage with public imaging, omics, and molecular datasets, including MIMIC ( and),,,, and, and follow a standardised machine learning pipeline using the open-source multimodal AI library.
